Bio-Batch GreenWave technology is a process which allows the product to be metabolized and neutralized in the environment, turning the plastic into an inert humus, as well as Biogas (Anaerobic) or Co2 (Aerobic). Our biodegradable additive process, made with our bio-active compounds, is toll compounded in the United States and makes using Bio-Batch a simple, easy-to-use biodegradable masterbatch pellet.

 

Our GreenWave technology expands the molecular structure of the plastic, scissoring the polymer chain and adding in nutrients and other organic compounds that weaken the polymer chain for microbial action to colonize in and around the plastic. These microbes then secrete acids which break down the entire polymer chain. Bio-Batch will give you a biodegradable end product that will have indefinite shelf life until placed in an active microbial environment, such as a landfill.

 

Bio-Tec Environmental uses many testing laboratories for their 3rd party test results. These tests show that under anaerobic and aerobic conditions that Bio-Batch biodegradable additive has worked in most major polymers.

The GreenWave Bio-Batch technology is an additive which, when combined in at 1-5% by load weight with any of the popular plastic resins, renders the end products biodegradable. Bio-Batch and Bio-Tec Environmental have engineered an easy to use product specifically for manufacturers and design engineers. The final product will have the same physical properties, but allow the product to break down by microbial communities in landfills found worldwide.

 

This biodegradation process can take place aerobically and anaerobically. It can take place with or without the presence of light, heat or moisture. These factors allow for biodegradation even in landfill conditions which do not promote any degradation. Bio-Tec's technology differs from other "degradable plastics" emerging in the market today. Many of these products use catalysts which are heated up at variable rates different than the polymer chain breaking the product into smaller and smaller pieces. These products do not attract microbial communities to the plastic in order to break down the polymer's molecular structure, but rather are broken down by light, heat, mechanical stress and moisture. This can take ages depending on the polymer's weight and mass.

 

Most companies have environmental concerns like ours and we have heard many questions regarding many products. We have found that our product is a simple, easy and affective solution for your biodegradable plastic needs.

 

By using 1% - 5% by load weight of our product, you will manufacture a fully biodegradable product, with the same physical properties, tensile strength and in some cases improved performance of your final product. These attributes will last until the product is discarded into an active microbial environment (landfill), and will then break down into inert humus, Co2 or BioGas.
